I've been a-rummaging through my stash too Deana and was surprised how many fabrics would work. Looking forward to trying that paper pieced star!
Haven't sewn anything yet (my machine's set up for free-motion work right now) - but I've been bin-diving to pull good scrap combos out for my fireworks stars. :D [Need a sewing room fairy to clean it all back up for me now!]
