Bird Block #7

Here is my finished block. I am a little disappointed in it. I don't think it looks as 3-D as I had hoped. It is a modified attic window, but I had to make the window more open so you could see the cardinal flying by outside. Ah well, can't win 'em all!

I think it looks great Dorine! What a clever idea...

It is beautiful, and sometimes our best efforts don't turn out the way we envision them.
Hope you had a great trip. Wish we could have gone with you.

It's a great block! I think you'll be more happy with it when it is set in the quilt with other blocks around it. It will have the effect you hoped for.

I think the window is a great way to show depth in your block. Looking through windows is a favorite design element of mine.

Also, I like the red bird. I think it will blend nicely with some of the other occassional reds in your quilt.

Lovely job!

That is a cute bird cruising right past the window. Maybe he is trying to see in and find out if you are stitching up a bird house?
