Forest block #6

So, my teaser for those of you who didn't get it, was a calculus formula... it was using trapezoids to approximate the area under a sinusoid curve.  I have a couple trapezoids in my block, see?
I actually almost don't want to show the other side of the block, I really don't like how it turned out.  But I will show you anyway.

I think the bottom right corner needs something, but I'm not sure what.  Any ideas?  I'll probably hand applique something there, when I decide.  Well, here is the whole thing so far...

I really like how the freestyle turned out!  This was a fun rule, kudos to whoever put that rule in the hat!

Great job! Love how it all fits together. I'd suggest another tree to the right of the house.

I love your quilt. It is so fun, and the trapezoids are very clever. I was in the dark with the calculus formula. It was a great teaser, and it's fun what it was all about. I agree with Annmarie. I'd put a tree in the right corner. Your free-motion curves look great! Can't wait to try that on mine.

The curved piecing is really good. I would put a bear beside the house. Actually, I would probably put little red riding hood there with a basket on her arm! But it isn't my quilt and I think all your ideas look really good together.

Great job. I never took calculus in school, but I did take geometry, so I was thinking triangles, Ha Ha. Anyway, your block is great. Maybe you could put a tree and a bear. LOL. Love how it is coming along. Love you too.
Busy weekend, Melissa has a ball game at 2pm, then to the rodeo to watch the boys ride bulls. Stephanie is in "Footloose" tonight and tomorrow, so we will catch the matinee tomorrow.

I like it! I have to say, though, I was thinking a tree or a bush before I read the other comments. Red Riding Hood is cute idea too!

Hahaha, that threw me off for a sec Ann, when you were talking about Stephanie. I was thinking "No, I was in St. george this weekend..." and then I remembered I have a cousin once removed... silly me! I do like the red riding hood idea, I also like the bear! Maybe I will put red riding hood in this one with a sunbonnet sue pattern, and then a bear in another block...

I like how your mystery is coming along. You might want to wait until the next rule comes out. That may help you decide if you want to put anything by the cabin. I like Betty's ideas though. She always has good, creative ideas.

I think the curves are a real hit in your block. The clouds above the horizon are awesome also. Math - a clever addition.
