Say hello to newcomer, Sher!!

Hi, my name is Sher and I have chosen a "Beaches" theme for my mystery. I
love the beach and the blues and greens associated with it. My friend encouraged me to join and showed me her block today. I just love the idea and creativity of everyone's perception of each rule and technique. This is going to be so much fun! I sent this on to my daughter and my aunt. Hope they pass it along as well, it is a great idea and I just know it will be so fun.
> Thanks!!

Welcome Sher!! Is your friend in our mystery group? If so, which one is she? I would love it if your daughter and aunt joined us as well. This month is a good time to join because the deadline is further the others have been. It will give you time to catch up.

Welcome aboard!! Hope this is as much for you as it has been for the rest of us! Getting caught up might be a challenge, but you will enjoy it!! So will we. It is so much fun to follow all the quilts and see the creativity and individuality that goes into each one.

Pam's Woods is Sher's friend. Sher travels quite a bit, so when we get together we have all kinds of quilting news to share. I knew I could get her excited about this. I gave her some of my "beachie" fabric and her brain was going wild with ideas. I am sure she will catch up quickly. Welcome, Sher. You are hooked now! LOL

Betty C. (Betty's Scarecrows) so graciously directed me to this site. We have really had a good time with it.

Hi Sher, Welcome aboard. Or should I say "ahoy"?
Sunny beaches. Sher and Sunny. (Sonny and Cher). Sonny and Cher on a beach chair. lol. I will look forward to seeing your beach blocks. (My feelings will not be hurt if you don't use my suggestion. LOL.) I am full of suggestions.... ask Pam!

Welcome Sher!

Hey Betty!
That's funny because my favorite beach here in the Galveston area is "Sunny Beach". For the same reason, Sunny and Sher... Sher goes to Sunny beach... etc. LOL

Thanks for the suggestions. I love the help and it makes my poor little ADHD brain go wild with ideas! I'm working on my first block tonight. Started it this morning waiting on the shuttle bus. Hand sewed my little geese flying toward the sun while the baby turtles are scurrying out to sea.

Welcome Sher - this is a very fun way to do a quilt. I am so having a blast, and bet you will too!

I got very frustrated with the first block, I kept changing my ideas and the flying geese are my worst nightmare, besides paper piecing. I finally finished it just this week. I also finished block 2 and almost block 3, it will be done tonight. I'm not sure how to upload photos so I am taking them all individually and next week while I'm at Pam's maybe we can get them on here. In the meantime, I will try and figure it out. If not, I'll just hurry and work on 4 & 5 til I catch up. :)
