Scarecrow rule 11

Here is rule 11 with 2 yoyo's.   For the scarecrow I cut the fabric picture out of a panel.  One of those printed panels that was for making a stuffed scarecrow.   They had a picture on there to show how it should look when you assemble all the parts.   I thought it was nice that it had the word 'scarecrow' right above his head.
This was just too easy so I put extra batting behind the scarecrow part and tried to trapunto it. I watched a video on youtube.  It didn't come out as well as some I have seen already done.  Maybe I should have used more batting or thicker batting.  Yes , this block is quilted.  I am doing the whole quilt qayg.  ( I still need to quilt row 10 and attach it to quilt then I will be up to date!

Very cute. I LOVE your scarecrow, and the yo-yo's set it off nicely. I love the sunflower border around your scarecrow too. Fun and easy to work up, and get you caught up with all the rules. You are smart to quilt as you go. That is something I want to do some day, but so far, completed tops waiting to be quilted.

When my mon does trapunto, she actually puts some colored fleece under a white fabric, and it works really well and has a fun effect. Maybe try that next time!

Betty, you just had the perfect fabric for this one and the yo-yos just set it off. It is so cute. I wish I were as confident with my QAYG as you are. Of course, I want to see the back when you're finished!

Thanks for the tip about using fleece in trapunto. I will try that.
