Hi there Everyone! Remember me??? Lydia's Garden is blog that google won't let me get rid of, so to most I am known as foxiegrannie, or Carmen :) I do apologize for my absenteeism. Life gets its ups and downs and busy as all get out and that is what I have been! Busy as all get out. I have many responsibilities with my family and babysitting (which just increased from 3 to 5 days a week!), so I have to set priorities with all.

Okay, that being said, I tried to catch up on all the posts and make comments, but I know I didn't get to them all. But I have read most of the posts and ogled the great pics of how inventive everyone has been! You all put me to shame :(

I am NOT a hexie person at all. Never wanted to, didn't try and didnt challenge myself until this mystery. So here is my clue #2

It is supposed to be my version of a hexie snowflake???? LOL I tried, okay! And acutally for me that is quite good! Should have seen my ooboos!

Now since I have been elusive, clue #3 came and most had it finished before I even started, but alas, here it is:
Okay, not sure what happened there but the pic did not go where I wanted it to go so here is my last pic

So glad to have you back with us. I have missed your comments and postings. I love your hexie. The star in the center just makes it! And your long block is so cute. LOVE how they all fit together so nicely.
And I know about baby-sitting. Most days have 2 toddlers, and 2 days a week 3. Have another grandbaby due in 2 weeks, and from Mid-May to the 3rd week in June, I will have the 2 year-old and the baby 3 or 4 days a week, and some will be 5. That will definitely cut down on my quilting time.

WELCOME BACK!! I really don't know where to start. I think it is so cool that snowflakes are one of your favorite things ESPECIALLY since you live in Alaska. Your hexi snowflake is adorable and the embroidery on it makes it.

Now about those embroidered blocks --WOW! Did you really make them up just for this project? That is a ton of work. I also really like your placement.

Yep I did make up that embroidery just for this project :) I had to keep to the theme and that was the best way of adding in some of my favorite things :) It only took me 3 evenings which is one per small embroidery :) Oh and about the snowflakes? LOL I better like them, however, the part of Alaska we live in actually gets less snow than some of the lower 48 states :)

Welcome back! You've been missed. Glad you could find the time to catch up! Your embroidery is exquisite! I, too, can relate to the babysitting thing. I was babysitting every week day for a couple of years before my new husband came along and moved me out of the state (Washington State that is)! That is when I finally found time to become a full-fledged Daughter of Dorinda. I miss those sweet grandchildren, but I don't miss having the responsibility for them. Hope your life gets easier soon!
