Block #1 Finished Hurray!

I decided to get busy and get it done on the first day. Many of you can probably tell I am a beginner.. I wish now that my elephant was a little bigger. Incorporating the flying geese was not too bad. I cant wait to see what the next rules are. Happy sewing everybody.

I decided to use what fabrics I could from my stash. I think my quilt will turn out very scrappy.

Felicity, I think you've definitely graduated from the beginner class! I REALLY LOVE your block. I'll get the new 2nd release out to your email later today, but you cannot share the info with anyone or post a finished picture until everyone is on that step also.

Love ya!

P.S. You can post a "teaser" picture when you get release #2 finished -- that means show the fabrics or zoom in on one little unconsequential piece of the block.

Your block looks great. That was a great way to use the flying geese, and I love the elephant. Yes, you have graduated from a beginner.

Felicity, That is sew fun. You are definitely not a beginner any more. In fact, I think you graduated last year, finishing the Star Crazy before all the instructions were out. GO GIRL!!! :D

Do you have a pattern for that elephant? I'm making a quilt in honor of my time in Botswana and I'm trying to find an elephant I could put in there! Email me if you can, ciderflax71@gmail.com. Thanks!
