My mother-in-law asked me to post her progress for her.. So here is block #1 according to Lyn she put her flying geese in, but not what you would expect.

Yup, I see flying geese, but it took me a while to figure out where they were. Clever, Lyn. Nice block.
Rules ar meant to be broken, right? but you didn't really break them - you have geese & you have a unique hexie! Way to go! Your applique is meticulous - you must be a pro!
Pro is right. Love the block. And your interpretation is clever!!!
I love the entire block -- WOW!!! I honestly think my favorite part is the fence because it looks so real. The trees, geese, house...WOW you put in so much detail that really adds. The smoke out of the chimney also makes it feel so real.
I must mention to the group that she is aiming for the view out her front windows. Tona's house looks GREAT!
